Mike and Laurie Roeder are long-time Citroen enthusiasts from San Diego, California. Their first Citroen was a 1970 DS Estate they bought in 1979. They soon added a US-spec 1970 Mehari. After a few years without products by Andre Citroen, they then got reaquainted with 2CVs through the purchase of a French 1986 2CV6 Special which they bought while on bicycling touring in Canada. And still later they bought back their same Mehari. They still have both these cars.

Mike and Laurie came to live in Surrey in 1992, where Mike met Alan Cole at Glass's Guide. Alan introduced them to the Madhatters and they've continued a long-distance relationship since they moved back to the States in 1993.

At one time they owned a very nice Slough-built 2CV that had spent most of its life in Bangkok. That car was used while they lived here, but sold on to a German collector and now resides in the VW AutoStadt museum.

They currently care for 2 Charlestons, the 2CV6, the Mehari, an AK350 Truckette (which belongs to Chris James of Coventry), and a 2CV 4x4 built last year by Louis Barbour in Great Missenden.

While here on holiday this summer, they stopped in at this years Register's Day, and the summer camp in Walton-On-Thames. They're soon taking the 4x4 up to Scotland for a jaunt along the "Whiskey Trail".
