Anyone who wishes is free to contribute to the Rallye Sud Charity Appeal (details below). All funds, without deduction, will be given to the four charities at the end of the Rally as part of the completion celebration. Participants

Entry to the Rallye Sude closed in October 2002, however, due to requests to participate a late-joiner entry is being organised. Of course, to be fair to the full-mileage rallyists, no late entrant can take a prize in the rallye but you are welcome to apply to join Rallye Afrique and share the same route and, wherever possible the same (or similar) experiences as the Rallye Sud teams. Please send your name by e-mail ASAP,

Rallye Sud Participants were invited to submit their details which included :- name, address, (which the organisers will not disclose to third parties) 2CV Club(s) name(s) and e-mail address (for contact during the Rallye) along with car colour, model, (from the Citroen A-Series & H-Van range) fuel, chassis, suspension, gears, brakes, tyres & the class of the car being entered

They were also requested to submit a picture of the car they are using if they have chosen not to drive a works car as well as portrait picture of themselves. The participants are invited to note that any information supplied (apart from their address details) will be used in the public website covering this event.

Participants were also invited to give the names of any passengers they wish to take (no limit) (photographs if possible) and select thirty-five (only) items from a list including Yellow fever jabs, Green fever jab, Reversible maps (assorted), Spare nuts, Spare tappets, Touch up paint, Jack, Oxygen cylinder and allowed to take three items of their choice.

Participants were informed that they must not have any object that has not been selected from the official list with them during the entire course of the rallye. The three objects of choice will be any items they wish so long as a clear description of each is supplied. The participants will encounter hazards en-route and their equipment and answers to questions will effect the score for each stage. Participants will be free to express comments and to make remarks at any stage.

The organisers reserve the right to include or exclude any material at will, their decisions will not be subject to appeal and the rules may be varied or changed if the organisers feel that this is necessary. All changes to the rules will be effective immediately and documented as a dated journal entry on the accounts page.

The Rallye Sud is intended to be a fun event. There will be no funds retained on completion all proceeds remaining at that stage will be given to charity. Drivers must be members of a 2CV Club or be specially invited to participate.
