Yafran - Tripoli (150km)

Libya - driving from Yafran north-east towards Tripoli on the Mediterranean coast, arriving on 9th January 2003


Rallye mail

Thursday 9th January 2003 and we reached Tripoli at last. We had stopped an astonishing extra seven times on this one day run due to the storms.

Everyone agreed that although we were behind schedule we should treat ourselves to a day off and the cars to a good overhaul.

We enjoyed looking around the historic parts of Tripoli on Friday, on Saturday the cars were stripped down. Bent bits were straightened, bolts tightened, filters replaced and the cars cleaned inside and out.
