Hassi Messaoud - El Borma (300km)

(Stage 13.5)

Driving from Hassi Messaoud in Algeria to El Borma in Tunisia arriving on 7.1.2003

Rallye mail

Tuesday 7th off on the road to Tripoli again (a one day run!) and spent the sixth day on this stretch.

The road conditions were very poor and while no one suffered any breakdown we did need to change tyres and do minor repairs - mainly things coming loose we made it to El Borma - our stops are now seen as refuges and appreciated a great deal.

The good news is that El Borma is in Libya - only just mind you - but we have completed the long run across Algeria, which is one of the largest countries in the world.
