Explanatory notes ref Luxury Option item 3.

GPS . This is the abbreviation for Graphical Phlotation System and nothing to do with Satnav!

Picture shows driver and navigator (at her post) , with their green 2CV converted to Alice blue amphibian using GPS kit, practising for winter sea crossing between Spain and Tangiers. This will avoid the unreliable and strike prone ferries for which other contestants will be heading.

Applying GPS and removing, using unskilled labour takes only 45 minutes.GPS is fully seaworthy.
Unique feature of the System is the ability to disguise 2CV as inland waterways narrowboat. This facility is essential to avoid terrorists and pirates in the Straits of Gibraltar.
Sytem works by making raiders think they are miles off-course, hence they leave the 2CV and head elsewhere.

NB large roof space is ideal for displaying www.eyesforeastafrica.org

The team selected 35 items from the official list (as three items of choice) in line with the Rally Sud Rules which also stated.....'Anything else can be taken (eg fresh underwear) but nothing that can be used in any way instead of the 5 items not chosen'....
