Dec 27 1998 The annual Christmas Common Ramble and Lunch.
We meet at 10:15 at the Staines Lammas/Colne Valley car park. It was cold and wet and overcast.
We convoyed through Staines, past Windsor, past Maidenhead and Henley to arrive at 11:15 at the National Trust Car Park at Christmas Common
The weather was getting better, slightly and we had an enjoyable walk ...
...over the muddy terrain to the hill peak on Christmas Common with its excellent views
We did appreciate the warm and friendly pub at the bottom of the hill!
