Hobby Horse Grand National

Sunday 26th March, the horses and riders meet....

At the Southampton Off Piste Ducks' Pub

Everyone assembled in the parade ring...

horses, owners and riders were given race cards

No 1. Red Special.... Owned by George Bamboo, this horse was once a cupboard door on a small cabinet. After leading for most of its last race it became unhinged. Lost several races because he often faces the wrong way

No 2. Yellow Peril... Owned by John Ami, this horse started life as a plank and finished last in his previous race after being cut up on the final bend

No 3. Little Boy Blue... Owned by Freddie Spot, this horse has a great chance today. Formerly a large block of wood he carved a name for himself by winning his last three outings

No 4. Emerald 'Enery... Owned by Sid Beachcomber, this filly started life as a full grown tree before joining the elite Runcorn riding school. Found itself here after getting the chop

No 5. Andre's Revenge... Owned by J.P Mehari, this horse was once a chair so has his roots firmly seated in racing

No 6. Blushing Girl... Owned by the racing Club, Blushing girl was turned into a horse by a splinter group
