CV Rallyers met at Headley. Tents were set up in a camping area, which was in a pretty wooded area. We had a BBQ and drinks in the evening, entertained by an accordion player.
The BBQ, the potato baker and the accordion player all get going.
The next day started with hot barbecued breakfast, tea and coffee. We moved on to Shortheath Common in nearby Oakhanger for the rest of the day's activities.
The entry to the common is well marked. The boules area near the entrance was put to good use.
The boot lids of some of the cars display excellent paintings.
There were other decorations in and on the cars.
Citroen vans joined in the fun.
One of the raffle prizes was a packet of sweets from
Holland.
Some of the children find it hard to choose a raffle prize, so Jill gives them a helping hand.
The children's tug-of-war was not entirely successful!
Finally, it's Goodbye to James the Tank Engine and all the other 2CVs until the next time.
